persuasive text

This is my piece of persuasive text and it is on if we should have a school uniform.


I think we should not have a uniform because it costs a lot. I costs a lot more to buy a uniform than a piece of normal clothing. There are also less shops that you can buy a uniform than a normal piece of clothing.

 There are not many different types of uniforms like there are only one type of jumper. If you don't like it there is no other type to use.

The uniform is not that comfortable. Most mufti is much more comfy than the uniform. So in the end I think that we should not have a uniform.


Do you agree with me or do you think that we should not have a school uniform? I think that we should not have a uniform because of the reasons listed above. Also there is less freedom in a uniform than in plain mufti. It shows that we are individual.

Topic production method

we were doing a production method this is mine.

It's good for the environment because it uses solar energy to power it and it has a battery to store any leftover power. The claw only pulls the tuft of from the tree so it can regrow. It also has a seed planter so that it can plant trees as well. The treads mean that you don't have to have a road so making the road is no problem

market description writing

In my hand I felt oily hot chips. I could hardly hear anything clearly because the crowd was so loud. I quickly finished the chips and looked around. I looked at all the stalls and thought about where to go next.I saw a stall advertising games and books. I made a mental not to go there before I left. I saw a store selling lollies. I hadn't seen any other stalls with prices this cheap so I went there. After standing in the line for ages I finally left with the goodies. Monevering through the crowd was a problem the crowd was so packed that I had a tough time getting a few meters in 20 seconds. Finally I left and I was really happy to finally get away from all that noise. Even though that noise offerd such oily chips and sweet candy floss with many oily smells.

week 12 argumentation

We were learning about how to write argumentation and I think it is a very good thing to learn about.


I think that Matariki should be a public holiday. My reason is that it is the Maori new year and is very important to the Maori and their culture.

I agree with the idea of having an holiday about Matariki. One reason that I think that way is that we respect our own new year and make it a public holiday why don’t we let the Maori have their own new year. Another reason is that as well as being their new year it is also their guide to when they need to do things like farming and hunting.

Reasons that we shouldn't  do it is that we already have a new years celebration we could just end up making it back to a normal day. Also it is expensive to make a public holiday and not as safe.

All in all I think that we should have a holiday for Matariki as a public holiday because it is important.
