This is my writing for the week. I hope you like it.
At the end of the driveway, the world is quiet.
At the end of the driveway, the world is slow.
Kids are walking and talking.
Kids are laughing, their faces bright.
In Covid lockdown and bustling cites.
Kids adapt quickly.
Inside their masks, their bored faces rest.
Inside their clothes, the kids are fraying.
This girl jokes, the boy laughs:
Not yet seeing, not yet knowing.
That what's gone is a new beginning,
That what begins is already growing
Hard then Harder.
Adults with there rapid response
driving in motorways to adult homes.
