Camp Writing.

Camp Writing.

I am going to camp and I feel excited and ready to take on new challenges. Going to camp seems really exciting because all the camp activities are really fun. I am really looking forward to it because I have never been to a camp before. When I go to camp I want to do all the activities at once. What I am looking forward to the most is the gym because it is where I think they will be playing dodge ball and that is where there is a climbing wall. The main reason that I think that camp will be really fun is because camp is huge and has many exciting things such as a confidence course and a huge field. the full list of activities include. Confidence Course Camping site on stream edge ,Trampoline ,Flying Fox ,Stream ,Volley Ball (indoor & outdoor) ,Basketball ,Table Tennis ,Playground ,Beach, rock pools ,Archery ,Air Rifles
BMX Bikes ,Native Bush ,Surfing ,Sand Castle Competition ,Glow Worm study ,Paintball (age 11+),
,Sand Sculpture ,Scavenger hunt ,Shore and bird study ,Stream study ,Orienteering ,Climbing wall
,Eeling ,Night Sky Study ,Spot Light ,Camp fire Roasting marshmallows/Damper ,Night walks
,Burma trail ,Camping under the stars (weather permitting). The only thing I am sad about is that we can not do all of them because of the time that we have and also because some of the things are for older kids and we are not old enough to do them.

Reading T4W3

This is my new reading work for the week.

Do you like my reading work for the week? I think that the reading work is really good.

The bird in the mud T4W3.

The Bird in the Mud.

I saw a bird in the mud occasinally poking it’s beak into the water and then lifting it up. The mud was brownesh and the texture looked like sludge. The time when the beak was in the water was about half a second long. It looked like it was diving in for beatles. The bird’s feather’s were brownish black. When it dived down it opened it’s beak. The beak was black and small, about three-four centermeters long. The beak would be open for about half a secound then it closed. The main part of the body was very circular and round and it’s feet were very small.the feet were orange until they met the kneecaps when they became white. The water was a pale blue and it looked whitish as well. The water was about 5 to 10 centimeters tall.

T4W2 Writing

How the wolves changed rivers.

This is about how the wolves changed rivers and changed the ecosystem.

First of before the wolves came the deer were eating all the trees. When the wolves came a number of changes happened.

The first notible change was that the deer started to avoid certain parts of the park. This lead to a more major change. In the area's that they avoided there were a lot more plants and trees.

When those plants sprang up a whole lot more animals sprang up as well and because of all the new animals they changed the activity of the rivers. That is why the wolves affect was so amazing.

T4W1 writing

This is my writing for the week. I hope you like it.

At the end of the driveway, the world is quiet.

At the end of the driveway, the world is slow.

Kids are walking and talking.

Kids are laughing, their faces bright.

In Covid lockdown and bustling cites.

Kids adapt quickly.

Inside their masks, their bored faces rest.

Inside their clothes, the kids are fraying.

This girl jokes, the boy laughs:

Not yet seeing, not yet knowing.

That what's gone is a new beginning,

That what begins is already growing

Hard then Harder.

Adults with there rapid response

driving in motorways to adult homes.

Fudge Market Item

This is the Fudge market item slides that I have been working on this term. We did not get much time to complete it however so this is the final product.

Do you think that this is a good piece of work? I am not very involved in the fudge video so I did not act.

Writing Fudge

 Fudge.

Making the fudge was fun. First we decided what product we would make. We considered fudge, cookies and hokey pokey. We ruled out hokey pokey pretty quickly and then it was a race between fudge and cookies. We thought that the fudge would be cheaper to make but the cookies would sell better. We decided that the extra price would mean the fudge had to be the winner. Then We decided what the packaging would be. We all made packaging & a label for our own goods and Elana was the winner for the people who were making fudge. As well as making fudge we were also making bliss balls, reusable bags and lip balm. Then we calculated the amount of money that we were estimated to make (we came up with about one hundred and forty dollars). Then we put it on the internet. We are currently making a video advertisement about the fudge. The video advertisement will show Blake and christian talking about the fudge.

W9T3 Reading.

This is my reading work for the week. I worked with Blake and Hayley my friends but we each made our own separate slides. Do you like learning about different cultures?

Kapa Haka Writing for Moari Language Week.

When I do Kapa Haka I feel really good. I feel really proud when I do it and I feel powerful. The Kapa Haka is a way to feel individual and it is also a way to let go of all your anger. You can see everyone else around you and you can see that you are linked and you are doing it together. You can't really taste anything but you can feel it. It feels like you are joined. When you kneel down you can smell the surface of whatever you are kneeling on. When you kneel down you can feel the surface you are kneeling on and you can feel your connection to the land.

I sat down and waited for the rest of my family to come out of there bedrooms. Well I was waiting I made my lunch. When they came out of there bedrooms it was seven-thirty. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. Then I packed my bag and went to school. I got there at eight ready for the classes at eight-thirty. I left at three thirty and arrived back at four. Two hours later I had dinner. Then at eight I went to bed. I lay in bed thinking about my parents protesting. I was scared that they would have to go to jail. Then I fell asleep.

my persuasive work on education

I believe that all children everywhere should have the right to a education.

My first reason is that without a education you are ruining their future. If they don't have a education they will not be able to get a good job. They will only be able to sing up for jobs that don't require a education.

My second reason is that even if you do not find a good job you can be self employed. With a education you can do this better. You can also find your strength and use that in your job.

My third and last reason you are growing future citizens and they need education. If you take away their learning then if they would of went on to do great things you have taken that away. Then in the future they will not understand what they need to understand. Do you get where I am going?

These are all the reasons that I think children everywhere should have the right to a education. Do you agree?

T3W7 Work.

This is my work for this week. It is about gardening. I have also wrote an argument about if gardening is good for the environment. This year has been a big one. How do you feel about it.
Do you like my work? What do you know about farming? I have some cousins who own a farm and I like going there.

Is farming bad for the environment.

Is farming good for the environment?

Farming can be good for the environment. But in most cases it is bad for it. Here are my reasons for why I think that farming most of the time. Is bad for the environment.

My first reason is that farmers use pesticide and that is not good for the environment. The reason for this is that most of the pesticide used bounces off the plant and goes where you do not want it like in a source of water.

My second reason is that when they farm the dirt can sometimes get into the water and kill the animals living inside the water. This happens when the farmer harvests all the crops and leaves the field bare. Then when it rains the rain washes all the dirt away into the water. Then the dirt kills the fish and other animals living in the water.

Also the farm produces methane. When the farm animals Belch (fart or burp) It goes into the air and contributes to climate change.

These are the main reasons I believe that farming is mainly bad for the environment.
