This is my writing for the week. Once I decided what I wanted to do for my writing I had a really good time researching and writing this. I hope you enjoy.
How Does Your Brain Control Your Body?
Your brain. It’s known as the most complex organ that we know of, in the universe. Today I am going to talk about how your brain controls your body.
Your brain has billions of nerve cells, they are called neurons. These are the things that make up your brain. They “talk” to each other by sending electrical and chemical signals. Every time you experience something new or recognize something you already know millions of those tiny neurons are talking.
Your brain is the headquarters of your body, it sends messages to the rest of your body, telling it what to do. They send it through a network of nerves known as the nervous system. This enables you to run and walk and everything else!
Your brain is also in charge of how you experience the world around you. Imagine you are in the sea. The light from the water goes into your eyes, the noises of splashing water goes into your ears, and the coolness of water goes through your skin. Your brain receives all this information and uses it to determine what is here.
Well that’s the brain. There are so many more functions that the brain is responsible for so if you're interested go look at those. The brain is still very much a mystery to scientists and they are still looking for new information about it. Maybe you’ll grow up to be a brain scientist. Goodbye.
